Apparently we are all in a controlled and obsessive society that puts out certain norms and values for you to abide by and if you go against them, you are called names like crazy, hobo, criminal and other names that you are not going to like. Think why do you go to school, then to college, start working, marry, have a family, reproduce and finally retire. It is like your actions are being repetitive and everybody does the same. Nobody wants to do break that cycle and we say that we are free human beings.
If having an overly imagination is madness, then I don't know.. Some people go against the norms and values, they act weirdly and differently. They are not like the others, not those robots who go through the same routine and say yes to everything. And society is what makes people mad, how do you know if that person is sane or not? So the first category of people who do not abide by the norms and values of the society goes to the mental hospital because they are the mad people who tried to defy the society. Even authors may be called mad or insane for imagining things and write them down, it all depends to what extent you conform to everything. We all are conformist in this perfect society that keeps on judging you.
Therefore when you go out and do juvenile delinquency and commit crimes, you are then called a criminal and dragged to prison because doing wrong deeds is causing harm to the people in the society and making a drastic change which is going to set wrong examples to others as well. Everybody has to be perfect so that things go well and the rich get richer, the poor gets poorer which is one thing that will never change until the last day of this world. So this is the second category of people who go against the norms and values in the society and they end up in the prison.
Moreover if you don't work, you finally end up to the streets as a hobo without decent clothes and no food, people then point fingers at you, judge you and say : ''this person didn't work and must have committed sins, now look at his state.'' It happens all the time when you see a homeless person and when he is drunk, you get more points to prove yourself right and he is going to be regarded as an useless person because you are in a better situation whether you deserve it or not. You do not even think once what must have occurred to this being that today he is totally ruined, your judgments are more important. The third category of people are the homeless people on the streets and people might pity them or hate them for taking the space on this earth.
Yours thoughts are parallel to mine, what you write sends down a thoughtful wave down my sense.
